People and keeping in touch

Birthdays, anniversaries, new visitors and a few counts to help you care for people.

Note. If you're in Member care, Keeping in touch shows only the new visitors count. The two counts about gifts are left out. See Roles and what they can do.

The People part of the dashboard helps you remember the people behind the numbers.

Birthdays and anniversaries

Birthdays and Anniversaries list the active people whose day falls in the next 30 days, soonest first, with Today or Tomorrow where it applies. They come from the dates you add to each member. The year is optional: with it, ECM can also tell you how old someone is turning.

If nobody has a date coming up, you'll see "No upcoming birthdays" or "No upcoming anniversaries".

Recent visitors

Recent visitors lists the people whose first visit was in the last 30 days, newest first. They're the people to welcome or follow up with. Choose a name to open their record. When a visitor joins, switch Visitor off on their record and they move to your members. See Members and visitors.

Keeping in touch

Keeping in touch is three counts, and nothing more. It never shows who gave or how much.

  • First-time givers this month: people who gave for the first time this month.
  • New visitors this month: people whose first visit was this month.
  • Gifts entered in the last 7 days: how many gifts were recorded in the last week, which tells you your records are up to date.

Careful. Birthdays, anniversaries and visitors only appear if you've entered the dates. Add them when you add a person, or edit a member to add them later.
